Reactions: Aggregated mentions from Twitter

Note: We are currently optimizing the way we handle reactions. Some sites may see a delay in reactions being posted or even some reactions not being pulled into Disqus at all. See Known Issues > Missing reactions for more information.

When enabled, reactions allow readers to see mentions of your entries from Twitter. Having reactions on your site adds to the conversation by allowing readers to see the whole conversation in one place.

Troubleshooting

How do I hide reactions?

Reactions cannot currently be hidden.

Missing reactions

Reactions in Disqus are pulled in from Twitter directly. While this allows more granular control over tweets once they're in our system, we can only pull in what Twitter indexes. In other words, tweets not indexed by Twitter can't be pulled in to our system.

You can verify whether or not a tweet is indexed by searching Twitter for a page address which currently is missing Disqus reactions.

For more information on why some tweets are not indexed by Twitter, see Twitter's I'm Missing from Search! documentation.
