You are not allowed to perform this operation

This error occurs when your browser isn't sending a valid HTTP referer. The possible reasons you may not be sending referers are if:

  • Referers have been manually disabled in your browser

  • You're connecting through a proxy server

  • You have a browser plugin/extension which disables referrers

Disqus seems to be taking longer than usual

This error message occurs when Disqus has taken more than 10 seconds to load. This can be caused by several different factors:

  • slow browser plugins

  • your internet connection speed

  • additional scripts loading on the page

  • speed of the server hosting the website in question

You are not allowed to access this page. Please make sure you're logged into the correct account

This error message indicates that you are not logged in to the moderator account for the current forum you are trying to access. This may happen when you click through to disqus.com/admin from WordPress. Try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Log out of Disqus and Log in to the moderator account for that forum

  • Reset your Disqus password for any possible email addresses for you used to create the Disqus forum.
