Shadow banning is way of discreetly banning users, without their knowledge, in order to avoid instances of troublesome users coming back with new accounts. Shadow-banned users will be able to continue posting normally; however, their posts will not be visible to any other readers.
**Note: Shadow banning only affects a user's future comments, and does not work retroactively to hide their previous posts.

How to shadow ban a user from your moderation panel:
Go to your moderation panel and click on a comment from a user you wish to shadow ban.
Select Ban User from the side bar on the right.
A window will open that will allow you to select Shadow Ban, if you are subscribed to Pro
When a shadow banned user posts new comments, their comments will appear in the Moderation Panel with a "Shadow Banned" tag.
You can find the list of recently shadow banned users in the Banned Users settings page:
